I'm Miss McLendon (Miss M), and I am so excited to welcome you and your child to third grade! I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K - 4) from Misericordia University and have spent many years working with children in variety of educational settings. I have a true love for all things literature and believe books have the power to spark curiosity, inspire meaningful conversations, and help children better understand the world around them.
Creating a warm, literature-rich classroom is very important to me. I want our classroom to be a place where students are surrounded by great books, feel comfortable sharing their ideas, and encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I can't wait to watch my students grow in confidence and independence throughout this special third - grade year!
