Hello! My name is Ms. Jean-Marie Landham and I'm so excited to be joining the DCS family as your new Character Development Teacher. This will be my 5th year in education, I have worked with preschool, first, third, and fourth grade. I have served as a classroom assistant, a lead teacher, and an art instructor. I love teaching and I can't wait to start this new chapter with you all, but until then let me tell you a little about myself.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, growing up in the city's West Oak lane/Germantown section. I attended Franklin Learning Center for their art program where I took AP art. From there I went on to study Art Education and 2d Fine Art at Moore College of Art and Design for Women. In my spare time I like to explore all the gems that our city has to offer. From museums, restaurants, festivals, community events, etc. I love activities that get you up and active and engaged with other people.
My goal for this class is to prepare students to be ethically engaged citizens who care deeply, think critically and act courageously. We will have discussions on character traits, play games that promote social development, and much more. I can't wait learn about you and your families. See you soon!
