Hello! My name is Tiara Stowe, and I am a Philadelphia native, born and raised! I earned my teaching degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and am currently working toward my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been an educator since 2016, and I am excited to begin my first year teaching 2nd grade at Discovery Charter School!

My mission as an educator is to help every scholar feel safe, supported, confident, and excited to learn. I believe children thrive in a purposeful, nurturing learning environment where they feel comfortable being themselves, making mistakes, asking questions, and growing each day.

My teaching philosophy is centered on being a passionate, empathetic, and compassionate educator who recognizes that every child has unique strengths and needs. I strive to support my scholars academically while also nurturing their social-emotional development. Building positive relationships with my students and families is an important part of creating a strong classroom community.

I am so excited to welcome your scholar into my 2nd grade classroom this year! I look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s academic, social, and emotional growth throughout the school year.
