Ms.Flemming

My name is Cherish Flemming, and I’m so excited to be joining the Discovery Charter School community as the new 5th grade English Language Arts teacher. I bring a deep love for reading, writing, and learning to our classroom, and I can’t wait to share that passion with my students. My goal is to help every student grow as a confident reader, a creative thinker, and an effective communicator.

I earned my degree in Business Marketing from Delaware State University. I decided to change career paths to work in education, and I’ve had the privilege of working with students in a variety of classroom settings. I strive to create a classroom where students feel seen, supported, and challenged. I believe that stories have the power to connect us and that every student has a voice worth hearing.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy expressing my creativity through hair and makeup, which allows me to help others feel confident and empowered. I also run a small side business preparing and selling homemade meals, which allows me to share my love for cooking with others in my community. I’m truly looking forward to partnering with families and the Discovery Charter School team to make this year a memorable and meaningful one. Let’s make it a great year together!
