Delayed Start / Closure / Early Dismissal

Delayed Start

In the event that the Douglas County Schools are running on a delayed start in the ThunderRidge Feeder Area due to inclement weather, ALL BASE PROGRAMS WILL BE OPEN AT 8:00 AM. This means that our regular opening time of 6:30 AM will change to 8:00 AM for Before School care. This allows staff time to reach the school safely. Office staff members and building engineers are NOT responsible for early drop-offs during the delayed start, and therefor will not answer any doorbell requests on BASE's behalf.

Closure

In the event that Douglas County Schools are closed in the ThunderRidge feeder area due to inclement weather, ALL BASE PROGRAMS WILL BE CLOSED AS WELL. 

Early Dismissal

In the event that Douglas County Schools are doing an early dismissal in the ThunderRidge feeder area due to inclement weather, ALL BASE PROGRAMS WILL CLOSE AT THE SAME TIME THE SCHOOL DISMISSES STUDENTS.

*Snow Day / Delayed Start status can be checked by telephone after 5:00 AM on the day of the inclement weather. The DCSD weather hotline number is (303) 387-SNOW.
