Meet Your Teacher

Hi everyone, my name is Tavis Peterson and I will be your sixth grade math and science teacher! I am looking forward to getting to know every one of you and helping you along your math and science learning journey! I hope to make the learning experience engaging and enjoyable!

I have a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from Central Washington University and master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. During my time in my undergraduate and graduate programs, I had multiple opportunities to mentor and guide incoming students which ignited a passion for teaching.

I enjoy being active! This includes backpacking, climbing, biking, running, and any other form of physical activity. When I am not outside running around I enjoy drawing, writing, and playing video games.
