Hi there! I am Jana Hutton, and I am so excited to return for my second year with the Summit View Crew! Over the past eighteen years, I have worked in DCSD with students in significant support needs and affective needs center-based programs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. My true teaching passion is for our elementary school kiddos, building a strong foundation for their journey ahead.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, my family and I have called Highlands Ranch home for twenty years. Spending time with family (two daughters and son, ages 25, 27, and 29), spending time in nature, and hanging out with my house bunny and three kitty cats bring me the greatest joy. I hold a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Whitman College and a Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education from Metropolitan State University in Denver.
Elementary school is such a magical time, with endless possibilities and wonder at every corner. I’m thrilled to be a part of our kiddos’ future and to work with you this year to ensure growth and success. I see us as a team, each of us playing a crucial role in moving our students forward socially, emotionally and academically. In our classroom, we will work together to build a strong foundation for a lifetime of growth and happiness.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or to share celebrations. I am committed to open and transparent communication, and I’ll return your emails or phone calls as quickly as possible.
