Personalization Increases Engagement
Engaging students in real-world experiences that can be personalized for life-long interest.
In Specials, our students are intentionally immersed in a variety of experiences allowing them to discover activities that will enhance their lives. They learn a variety of ways to engage in creativity through art and music and how to be in charge of their own health and fitness.
Artists Express Individuality - How can we create art that expresses our unique feelings and ideas?
Activity Fosters Wellness - How can we be active and demonstrate physical literacy for our personal health and fitness?

I wish to share my enthusiasm for art and encourage all students to be creative problem solvers and inspire them to express themselves in unique ways. Studying master artists, learning about solid elements of art, and working on new techniques together, I know that every student will bud into a talented artist!

Diana Cole
I have been a teacher at Lone Tree Elementary since the second year it was opened. I grew up in New York and follow three generations of teachers. When I am not teaching, I enjoy watching my children play sports, being outside, and spending time with my family.

Master's Plus Licensure - Colorado State University
Master's of Music Education, Composition Emphasis - Colorado State University
Bachelor of Arts, Vocal Performance - UC Santa Cruz
A lack of elementary programs where I grew up had me starting late in middle school, thus even more satisfying to get to provide meaningful musical experiences for our community in Lone Tree. Since then, I have developed from being an untrained, head-banging rock singer to working as a professional musician in a variety of capacities. To me, the definition of a musician is extremely broad. I believe that all learning systems, musical genres, and instruments have inherent value and ought to be studied. It is my goal to have a musical classroom that accomplishes a well-rounded approach that includes and features everyone. I am so excited to make music with our amazing Lions!
