Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment Website and Application
Information about open enrollment can be found on the district website by clicking on the Choice Programming Website. If you are open enrolled into your current elementary school (not your address assigned boundary school) and want to continue to the middle and high school in the same feeder, you MUST complete the open enrollment process. Please note that this process does not guarantee a spot within the next school. If you live outside of the Sierra Middle School boundary and would like to apply to Sierra Middle School for open enrollment, please click on the following link to open enroll. You will need to use your parent portal log in to access the tool.
Helpful Tech Tips
Current DCSD parents - Use parent Engaged username and password to log into the tool. Parents now need to add “@p.dcsdk12.org”
you will type your username then add @p.dcsdk12.org ie) username@p.dcsdk12.org (do not use your full email address) JUST username + p.dcsdk12.org
If your full email address is populating, you must clear your cookies/cache or use an incognito window
If the student that the parent is open enrolling (is not currently enrolled in DCSD) but has a sibling that attends a DCSD school, the parent must log into the tool using their Portal/Engaged username and password and hit the + sign to add their new student to their account. Parents now need to add “@p.dcsdk12.org”
New to the District (no students currently in the District) parents will have to create a new Engaged Parent Portal account - Parents will get a pop up “warning” notification... “If the student you are open enrolling or the student’s sibling is a current DCSD student and you create a new account instead of using your current account, your open enrollment application may be void.” Parents now need to add “@p.dcsdk12.org”

If the form is not received by this date, you will need to apply for open enrollment for a chance to return.

Students who continue to reside in Douglas County (and still within DCSD) but have moved out of the attendance boundaries of Sierra, and wish to remain, must submit a Notice of Intent to Remain form to the Registrar. These students DO NOT need to open enroll.
