Choices have consequences
Prevention & Risk Management: Skills to make health-enhancing decisions regarding the use of illicit drugs.
Make copies (or project). “Illicit Drugs: What Do You Know? Anticipation Guide for students...Caution: Answers are on page 2.
Explain the directions to the students and have them complete the worksheet.
Go over the worksheet as a class and call on students to answer the questions.
Using the answer sheet, explain why each statement is a “truth or myth”.
Wrap-up activity by letting the students know that each of these questions will be covered in the “illicit drug” unit.
Introduce students to illicit drugs.
Use a quiz on Kahoot to check for understanding
Ask Students: What questions do you have about illicit drugs, drug abuse, and addiction?
Have students complete the Google Form (Link to give to students: bit.ly/3Ggxzsj)

If time permits, students may start the working through the stations using the packet to record their learnings.
Warm-up: "Do You Know Your Risk for Addiction?" article (pg. 5 & 22), write a summary, and discuss.
