TASK
Part 1:
Discover what happened
to Anne Frank, her family, and the other members of the Secret Annex.
Use the links found in the tour to answer the questions in your packet.
Part
2
:
Anne Frank, her family, and their companions in the Secret Annex were arrested on August 4, 1944. It is still a mystery who betrayed them, or if they were betrayed at all.
A recent article from the Smithsonian suggests perhaps that the family was not betrayed; it was just bad luck they were discovered.
Following their arrest, they were moved from jail to concentration camps across Europe.
Part 3:
Did you Know?
When Anne Frank wrote her diary, she disguised some names.
Use the guide to learn the real names of the occupants and helpers:
Van Pels changed to Van Daan
Fritz Pfeffer changed to Mr. Dussel
Victor Kugler changed to Mr. Kraler
Johannes Kleiman changed to Mr. Koophuis
Bep Voskuijl changed to Elli Vossen
Miep Gies changed to Miep van Santen
Jan Gies changed to Henk van Santen
