Katie Leonard - Prevention & Intervention Counselor
Hi! My name is Katie Leonard, and I am thrilled to begin my school counseling career as the Prevention & Intervention Counselor at Sagewood MS.
I am originally from Portland, Oregon and previously worked at Beaverton School District as a Graduate Mentor for two years. I attended school at the University of Oregon for my Undergraduate degree in Family & Human Services and first graduate degree in Prevention Science. I then completed my School Counseling degree through the University of the Southwest and was given the opportunity to work at SGMS! I am driven to assist students in their academic, social, and emotional learning endeavors by collaborating with them and locating their strengths to achieve their goals.
Outside of school, I enjoy going on walks, playing video games, practicing yoga, eating ice cream, and making music with friends! I also have a very sweet old orange cat named Toblerone who has made the move across states with me.
I believe middle school years are a vital time to foster positive relationships and self-confidence, and I feel honored to be a piece of that puzzle in our wonderful, supportive network here at Sagewood.
Welcome 6th-grade students and families!
My name is Suzette Remy. I am happy to introduce myself as the 6th-grade counselor at Sagewood Middle School.
This is my eighteenth year in education and my twelfth year as a School Counselor at Sagewood Middle School. I enjoy coming to work each day, encouraging students to strive to be their personal best in and out of school.
Outside of work, my husband and I like to spend time outdoors, going to sporting events, traveling, gardening, and spending time with our three adult children and our three grandchildren.
I look forward to working with you & your student throughout their middle school years.
Hello, my name is Janelle Winders, and I am the 7th Grade Counselor. This is my 18th year as a school counselor and my sixth year at Sagewood. I spent five years working at the high school level before moving to middle school, and I have worked in Adams 14, Aurora Public Schools, and Cherry Creek School District. I love working with middle schoolers and helping them discover themselves and navigate the difficult world that middle school can be. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Colorado State University and my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado at Denver. I moved to Parker eight years ago and now live in the Sagewood community. I love everything about Parker and am so proud to be raising my two children in this feeder. We love spending time at the different, local businesses and events as well as skiing, snowshoeing, boating and camping in Grand County. We are always on the go, but it provides a great balance so that I can be my best every day for our Sagewood students!
Hello Sagewood! My name is Ann Isbill, and I’m excited to be working with the 8th-grade class at SGMS. I am passionate about supporting student growth and success, both academically and socially/emotionally. I received my master’s degree in School Counseling at Adams State University and hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Kentucky. This is my second year as a counselor, and I’m excited to begin this journey with you!
Originally from a small city in Ohio, I moved to Colorado in 2020, drawn by my love for the outdoors—Colorado felt like the perfect place to call home! I enjoy CrossFit, hiking, camping, fishing, and watching football. I also have a cat named Sir Purr and recently got married in 2024.
I can’t wait to work with your student to help make their middle school experience positive and meaningful!
Meet Kay, our school-based therapist! AllHealth's school-based therapist provides a safe and supportive space for students to talk through challenges, build coping skills, and strengthen emotional well-being. With experience in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric care, and private practice, Kay uses a person-centered approach that focuses on the unique needs of each student and their circumstances. Her areas of focus include stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, identity, and life transitions. Her goal is to empower students with tools for resilience, self-awareness, and healthy connection — helping them feel supported both in school and in life.
Hi, everyone! I’m Bridget, and I’ll be leading the prevention groups at Sagewood MS for this calendar year. I currently work as a school-based therapist at Allhealth Network, and I love getting to engage with students through the group-based model. My history has primarily centered around working with substance use and behavior modification in a clinical setting. I’m excited to be returning to Sagewood for groups this year and look forward to connecting. Thank you!
