Dear Families,
Welcome to my classroom! My name is Allison Rothfield (Ms. Rothfield), and I am thrilled to be your child’s kindergarten teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. I hold a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and have been working in education for the past five years. This will be my second year teaching kindergarten at Sedalia Elementary! I am excited to continue to be a part of such a wonderful school community with such dedicated teachers and staff.
In our classroom, we will focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to grow. I am committed to fostering a love of learning through engaging activities and hands-on exploration, and I look forward to guiding your child in their academic and personal growth.
A bit about me: I grew up in Colorado as the middle child of two sisters. My family moved to San Diego in 2014, and I recently returned in 2021. I always knew I would be back in this beautiful state! Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, playing tennis, hiking, and skiing.
Communication is key to a successful school year. Please feel free to reach out to me via email at arothfield@dcsdk12.org if you have any questions or concerns. I will also be sending home regular updates and information about upcoming events.
I am excited about the opportunity to work with you and your child, and look forward to a rewarding year ahead!
Sincerely,
Ms. Rothfield
