Welcome
Welcome to the home of RCHS Research in Biotechnology. This is our eighth year offering this exciting real-world research course in the field of biotechnology, and we're excited for what the new year will bring! Students in the class are following the scientific process as they design their own experiments, write research proposals and work to gain approval for their research, secure funding, conduct their research, interpret the data they collect, and publish their research findings. This course gives students the opportunity to experience the challenges and excitement of working in a science research field, develop highly advanced critical thinking skills, practice perseverance, work collaboratively with their mentors and teammates, develop financial literacy as it relates to scientific research and grants, learn to work independently, along with so many more life lessons of which there are too many to list here.
We are proud of the research projects that these students are conducting this year. Thanks to strong mentoring and advanced academic levels of these unbelievable students, their research is working towards answering meaningful real world questions that have the ability to contribute in a meaningful way to society.
