My family and I have lived in Colorado since 2020, and this will be my 6th year in the classroom. I earned my Bachelor Degree from Cal Poly University and my Masters Degree from CSU Stanislaus. I am married to my college sweetheart, Brad, and we have one amazing daughter, Catherine (7th grade). I grew up in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, then moved to Nashville, Tennessee as an adult. I absolutely love being in the mountains where I can enjoy the smell of the pine trees and the sound of creeks and rivers running. I love camping, off-roading in my beloved Bronco (lovingly named Bruno), taking a scenic drives, traveling, cruising... Being outdoors is my happy place!
I look forward to getting to know my students and their families this year!
I never expect gifts, but I do get asked what my "favorites" are.
I am grateful for any gesture of appreciation and kindness, and some of the best gifts are handwritten cards/notes.
(I have no food allergies or intolerances)
Coffee: Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew, Vanilla or Hazelnut Latte (hot or iced), Caramel Macchiato, Chai Latte

I grew up in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, and have always been a “mountain girl.” My grandparents raised cattle, goats and chickens on a huge personal farm nearby. Campsites, fields, trails, lakes, rivers, creeks and ponds were my playground. Fishing, hunting for frogs, catching and raising "polywogs" and playing hide-n-seek in the trees were my idea of fun. I am most happy when I am outside in nature - it doesn't matter what I am doing, I just love the outdoors.
As a child, school was not easy for me - I had to work so hard to keep up with my peers. Finally, in high school my teachers helped develop my love of learning with fun and engaging activities and lessons. They had a passion for teaching that was contagious, and I began to gain confidence. I went on to earn my Bachelor Degree from Cal Poly and then my Masters Degree from CSU Stanislaus. After several years in the business world, I wanted to come back to education so I started a new career at age 40! I’m excited to teach your child this year, and hope to encourage their joy and confidence for learning.
My high school was 100 years old when I graduated in 2000.
I went to the same college that my dad went to (Cal Poly @ San Luis Obispo, CA)
My husband and I backpacked Half Dome in Yosemite (CA) in 2009 - including climbing the cables!
I love to travel to new places - I have visited/stayed in 13 countries and 25 states. However, I have only lived in 3 states.
I have broken one bone in my whole body - my fingertip while snow sledding, as an adult!
