Sydney Koeppen

My name is Sydney Koeppen, and this is my second year as an occupational therapist and second year at Pine Lane. I am originally from Iowa but have also lived in Nebraska, and Florida as well! I received my Doctoral Degree from Creighton University and moved to Colorado after finishing graduate school. I have completed internships in outpatient and inpatient adult rehabilitation, and outpatient pediatrics. My doctoral capstone was focused on exploring the benefits of animal-assisted therapy and equine-assisted therapy (hippotherapy) as a treatment method for children with various diagnoses. I love school-based occupational therapy because you have the ability to work with children in their natural environment and work closely with a team to help children thrive in school! My favorite occupations are hiking, yoga, running, live music, and spending time with family, friends, and my pets (dog & cat)!
