Meet the Team

My name is Sydney Koeppen and I have been an occupational therapist for one year, and this is my first year at Pine Lane. I am originally from Cedar Rapids, IA but have also lived in Omaha, NE and St. Augustine, FL! I completed my Doctoral Degree at Creighton University, and moved to Colorado after finishing school. I have completed clinical internships in a wide variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient adult rehabilitation, and outpatient pediatrics. My doctoral capstone project was focused on animal-assisted therapy and equine-assisted therapy (hippotherapy), where I would use animals in treatment for children with a variety of diagnoses. I love being an occupational therapist in the school-setting because you are able to work with children in their natural school environment and get to work as a team to help children thrive!
