Hi! My name is Ms. Hormachea (Or-Mah-Ch-Yeah) and I love being a part of the PLE Crew! I was a student in DCSD and it was my dream to come back to teach for this district. In 2019 I graduated from Metropolitan State University with a BA in History, and by November of that year I was working for PLE supporting students as an EAIV in SSN. While working in SSN, I decided to go back for my Masters so that I could be a teacher. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my Master of Education in Elementary Education in April 2022. I was fortunate to be able to complete my student teaching here in 4th grade at PLE, and even more blessed to be hired on as a 4th grade teacher! I taught 4th grade for 3 years and this year I will be teaching 5th. I am super excited about this change.
I also have a certification in Autism & Significant Support Needs, and I recently finished my Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners endorsement. Currently I am seeking my certification in Trauma Informed Practices.
I was born in Buffalo, NY but have lived most of my life here in Parker with my parents and 3 older brothers. I have a pitbull named Piper and a leopard gecko named Spotty. I also love spending time with my niece and nephew.
