I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Pine Lane family/BASE for the past 5 years. You may recognize me from my previous role as Assistant Manager, and as of August 2025, I’m excited to have stepped into the Program Manager position. I’m married and a proud mom of two Pine Lane kiddos, plus a mini Bernedoodle named Winston. When I’m not at BASE, you’ll likely find me at Target or Home Goods, hanging out with family/friends, crafting, baking, camping, planning playdates, or exploring Denver’s amazing boba and food scene.

I was inspired to go into childcare because of my 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Katz, who made me feel cared for, seen, and included. She showed me how powerful it can be when children feel loved and connected. At BASE, I strive to create that same safe, welcoming space where kids can grow into kind, capable, responsible and confident individuals. 

I have been with BASE for almost 4 years and I’ve enjoyed every minute! I love arts and crafts and watching all your creativity grow. I like music and hanging out with my cats. 

Hi Pine Lane families! I am Ms. Cece and I have worked at BASE for over two years. I graduated with my associates in early childhood education expecting to be a teacher but BASE stole my heart. I’m a big sports fan for the Broncos and Avalanche so when I’m not at work I’m watching some game. I love hanging out with your kiddos everyday!!!

Hello! My name is Kathy and I’m a retired, veteran teacher.  My education career stems from Denver Public Schools, a brief teaching experience in Douglas County (years ago) and in Kansas.

I was a professional dancer and educator at Denver School of the Arts. Horses are my “passion” and my work with children is, also, a passion that keeps my mind young and alert! I, also, learn from their conversation and laughter!

The sound of children’s laughter and their enthusiasm to learn,  warms my heart. I am excited to be at Pine Lane BASE program and  I will be sharing my experiences and learning, so much more, from an incredible team of Program Leaders and team members.

I currently attend Colorado Mesa University majoring in psychology. I moved to Colorado about 6 years ago from Clearwater, Florida. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, fishing, and anything that deals with the outdoors. 

Hi! I'm Ms. Emily. I'm currently going to school to be a Nurse (I hope to be a Pediatric Nurse after graduation!). I've worked at BASE for over 4 years now. I love to be outside, hangout with friends and family, travel, and watch movies! I have two dogs, Leo and Marley who are so spoiled. My favorite thing at BASE is playing games (board games, gym games, outdoor games) with the kids because we all have such a fun time! 

Hi! I’m Kaitlyn, and I’m so excited to be back at BASE! I actually attended Pine Lane (and was a BASE kid!) then worked here from 17-20, so coming back five years later feels really special to me. A lot has changed since then, but one thing that hasn’t is how much I love working with kids! 

During the school year, I work at Sierra Middle School in the SSN classroom, which has given me the opportunity to learn and grow even more in a field that I really enjoy.

When I’m not at work, you can usually find me spending time with my boyfriend, Colby, and our dog, Nellie, or hanging out with my family and friends. I love listening to all kinds of music, tending to my extensive collection of plants, trying out different coffee shops, and crocheting! I’m looking forward to spending school breaks and summers here, making memories, and being part of a fun, safe space that kids are excited to be in. I’m also especially excited that I may get to be a familiar face for some of the kids as they eventually transition from elementary to middle school. I’m so happy to be back and can’t wait to get to know all the kids! 

Hi! My name is Nevanna Smith! I am currently going to school at Nicholls State University to purse my degree in elementary education! I also play Division One softball at my school!

While I am still new to BASE, I actively seek new learning opportunities and building relationships with my team and the students! 

I enjoy spending time with friends and family when I am home, and I love my dog! 

My favorite thing about BASE is the healthy competition during games! I love playing different sports with the students and being active!
