LeUyen Pham will be discussing how she was inspired to write & illustrate Outside, Inside during the early days of the pandemic. We are encouraging our students to use Art, as well, to express and document their own experiences.
Our secondary Art students are encouraged to create a piece of art (in any medium) that expresses their own unique emotions or experiences of living through a global pandemic.
High School Graphic Arts students took part in a Graphic Design contest in September and their creative designs are currently being made into #OneBookDCSD promotional materials:
Everyone had his or her own personal experience living through Covid, and each of these experiences is a piece of the whole story of the pandemic.
Many people enjoyed doing puzzles together during our days spent inside, so Elementary Schools are encouraged to incorporate the fun theme of "puzzle pieces" in their Art Projects!
Feel free to use this puzzle piece for a template of a quick, ready to use canvas, or create your school's own #OneBookDCSD puzzle themed project, quilt or mural!
