My name is Thomas Giani and I am currently the 2022-2023 CRMS NJHS president. I am from Spain and have lived here for a while now. I have met the NJHS requirements several times and have served the community in the past. NJHS will give me the opportunity to work with others and help out with the community. I have plenty of experience in leadership and in helping the community. NJHS will give me more opportunities to lead and to help out our community.

Hi, I’m Annika Lundmark. I love to play softball, and basketball. I’m also a very artistic person, so you’ll probably see me doodling on a piece of paper from time to time. I am a middle child, meaning I get the best of both worlds. Yay! I have recently moved from Chicago to Colorado, and I’m so glad we chose Castle Rock! One of my favorite things to do is hang out with friends, surf, and to babysit! I’m so excited to be part of the NJHS and I’m looking forward to helping our community.

Hello, I am Olivia Hult and I’m 13 years old. I am the Secretary for NJHS. I live with my mom and dad, and I have two sisters whose names are Jordan and Hannah. Jordan is 24 years old and Hannah is 8 years old. I did competitive gymnastics for 10 years, but now I play volleyball. I have two nephews whose names are Jameson and Daniel.

Hi, I am Samantha Draper. I love helping and supporting my community. I enjoy being outside and traveling to new places. I have been to many states in the U.S. but have never been out of the country. I was born in Texas but moved to Colorado when I was just 2 years old. Some of my hobbies include hiking, coloring, soccer, and 4-H. I have many barnyard animals such as goats, pigs, chickens, cats, and dogs. I show market swine and dairy goats at the Douglas County Fair and have won multiple awards. In my free time, I love to hang out with friends and family. It is an honor to be a part of the NJHS 2022-2023 school year.

My name is Collin Cresmen and I am currently the Historian of the National Junior Honors Society. I love tech and am very into computer science. I have a sister named Elleca (Who is another officer) I have three dogs and one cat. I love video games, but am also a very athletic person. I am very happy to be apart of NJHS.

Hi! I am Elleca Cresmen! I am one of the Community Service chairs for the NJHS 2022-23 school year. If you are part of the Community Service Chair, you help organize and plan events that happen in our school and community! You get to help out with food drives, assemblies, parties, and much more! Helping others and being part of the community is one of the most important parts of my everyday life! I have always really enjoyed working hard and helping whenever I can. I feel like these attributes of me were a big part of the reason I wanted to be part of the Community Service Chair and make a positive impact in people's lives. I love to help others whenever I can! I also enjoy babysitting and tennis. I truly love being a part of NJHS and working with all the amazing people in it!

Hello! I'm Hayden Ansel and I'm one of the community chairs. The community chair helps organize events, and we work closely with the president. Some of my interests are my friends, family, binge-watching Tv shows, volleyball, and skiing. In my family, I have a mom, dad, and little brother. His name is Carson and he is 10. He is the most annoying person that I know. I also have two dogs named Kit and Rocky. Kit is a Boston terrier and Rocky is a Frenchie. Just like my interests, my sports are volleyball and skiing. I do these sports a lot because my whole family skies and volleyball is just my favorite sport to play. I don’t really have any hobbies because I'm so busy with lots of different things, but if I need one I would say hanging with my friends. Some things that we do a lot in my family are traveling and going on adventures. We take at least 2 or 3 trips a year and love to see new cultures. Lastly, I am so grateful to be a part of NJHS and to be the community chair. I also get to meet new people, and it's going to be a great experience.

My interests/hobbies include many different forms of art, movies, books/reading, fashion, and more. I have both parents, three brothers, one sister, a sister and brother-in-law (both aren’t related to each other), three nephews, and a niece. My lifestyle includes traits like humility, productivity, high standards, I work well with groups, and I take charge when I need to. I love to play volleyball but don’t really want to pursue it. Some talents of mine are painting, drawing, and singing.

My name is Lily Adams. I enjoy art, percussion, guitar, drama, volleyball, naps, and hanging out with friends. I have a family of 5, I have my mother and father, a sister, myself, and a dog. I wake up early every morning to get ready for school, head to school, hang out at a friend's house for an hour after school, then come home to do homework, then I head off to volleyball. The motivation I have to keep my grades up is simple: I'd like to get into a good college and live a very comfortable life with a great career. I play volleyball and it’s something I really enjoy doing. I think of talent as something you were born with and don’t have to put a ton of effort into for that thing to be good, none of that applies to me though. I like to think that instead of talents, I have skills. To me, skills take time, effort, and failure to develop. One of those skills for me is my art. I work on it, enjoy practicing it, and it is still a long way from where I want it to be. That’s a little bit about me.

Hi my name is Lucy Bradley and I am 13 years old.Some of my family member are my mom(Jennie), dad (Tom) and my favorite my cat(Jack) also have my grandparents (Lynn and Bruce/Grandma and Papa).Some of the sports I do is Volleyball, Basketball, Golf, and tennis.I have played Volleyball for as long as I can remember and play club, I just find Basketball as a hobby and don’t really play it that often, and for Golf and tennis I have only played them for a little but I want to get better cause my dad and mom love these sports and I want to play it with them.I would say my lifestyle is pretty normal like school for half the day, workout, homework, on some days I go out with my grandma, arens, sports on some days and other stuff as well. My name is Jon Cicero. I am 13 years old, in seventh grade and attend Castle Rock Middle School. School is very important to me but I love all things that have to do with sports. My true passion is hockey. I play for the Colorado Rampage 12U AA hockey team. I play left wing and love to score goals! Another one of my hobbies is hanging out with my friends and family. My name is Ava Clement and I was born April 29, 2009, in Provo, Utah but moved to Douglas County, Colorado when I was 9 months old and I have been here since. I am the oldest of four children: two sisters and one brother. I love to spend time with them camping, going on walks, doing puzzles, and watching movies. I enjoy reading and my favorite genres are mystery and romance. Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors and I have read half of her books. I have a goal to read all of them. Another author I like to read is Traci Hunter Abramson and have only just started reading her books, but enjoy them very much. I like hiking and being outside. Hiking with my family is one of my favorite things. I was recently able to do some hiking in Bryce Canyon National Park which has the most beautiful colors and history. I enjoy watching basketball and sometimes I will play it in my driveway.

Who am I? Well I think that I am a lot of things and I do a lot of things. Some of those things include hobbies, sports, my interests and many more but I’ll start off with my family. My family consists of my mom, my dad, my twin 18 year old brothers and my 3 adorable dogs. My family is quite an interesting family because of our personalities which are very competitive. My name is Ethan Dann. I am 13 years old and will be turning 14 at the end of April. I love the outdoors and enjoy spending time hiking, backpacking, camping, hunting and fishing. Nature photography is one of my interests. I have my own business called Mountain Moose Photography and I sell my photography at local art shows. Two sports I enjoy are basketball and golf. I live in Larkspur, Colorado with my mom, dad and younger twin brothers. Whenever I get the chance, I love to travel. My favorite places are Banff, Canada, Craig, Colorado, the Florida Keys and different parts of the Rocky Mountains.

My name is Kenna Delgado and I would like to share some things about myself. First off, I have two dogs, a cat, a brother, and a mother and father. I also have grandparents and cousins, uncles and aunts. I really enjoy playing sports, I like soccer and volleyball. I also feel that it is very important for me to keep in shape as an athlete, so I also like things like track and cross country. My name is Brisa which means a light breeze in Spanish. I am the youngest of four children and my older siblings all went to CRMS too. I like to hang out with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading. In my family, we do a lot of music. I would say my talent is music. I play piano and organ; I am the organist for our church congregation. I also play the trumpet; I’m in the CRMS intermediate band. Beyond music, I enjoy aerial yoga, which is like yoga but on a sling in the air.

I have many hobbies including drawing, mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking and rock climbing. I am on a team for both rock climbing and mountain biking. My favorite subject in school is science. I love learning about new things and expanding my knowledge of the world. Another thing I love to do is travel. When going to new places, experiencing the culture and scenery are my favorite things to do.

Hello! My name is River and depending on which pod you are in, you may or may not have heard about me before. I spend most of my time doing school work but I do like playing video games and playing with LEGOs. I do not care what you say, I will have an eternal love for playing with LEGOs because it is fun. I don’t play sports, and I’m currently learning how to play the piano(-ish), learning how to ice skate, and learning how to cook(-ish), and I should probably learn how to not be nervous while doing a presentation. I have 2 dogs, a sister, mother, father, and 4 marsupials from Australia called Sugar Gliders. I am also technically an immigrant? I’m from eastern China! Please no racial insults. I was born in Chicago, Illinois. When I was five, I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I lived there for three years and at the age of eight, I moved to Castle Rock, Colorado. I have a little brother who is five and a half years younger than me. My cat, Pumpkin, is the most adorable, orange, fluff ball ever. I love playing with her whenever I can. I’ve been playing the violin since fourth-grade. It is my favorite hobby to do. My name is Maximiliano Giraldo and I have one sibling named Simon. I love to draw and hangout with friends. I also enjoy sports but I don't do them too often. I absolutely despise seafood but my favorite animal is a shark. I love drawing as well and I feel like a very good drawer. I like soccer and football. A cool talent I have is being able to quickly bond with people and make friends too.

My interests are sports and family related stuff and going on trips all the time with my family and I mean like all the time. My family is my little brother Braeden and my Dad, Paul and my mom, Heather and then I also have a husky named Koda. My lifestyle is pretty outdoors and my family loves going to do things and playing outside and we do play video games sometimes. I play Soccer but I do love playing a ton of other sports and things like that and love to be in the wild. I really don’t have any talents and hobbies except I guess I have a hobby of traveling because I have been to 8 different countries and been out of the country at least 15 times. All of this describes most of my life and other things like that. I love to go on hikes and always try to go to my little brothers soccer games but sometimes I can’t. Hello! My name is Lily Heisser! I’m super excited to be a part of the NJHS family this upcoming school year! My main interests at the moment are school (because of all of my amazing teachers), learning more and more things so that when I graduate, I can study to become a nurse at the Children’s Hospital in Aurora, hanging out with my friends and family over all of our breaks and weekends, and also babysitting. My main two hobbies right now are drawing (realistic animals and people in my own style) and also writing things like stories or personal narratives. My home life is pretty basic, as I just have one sibling, my brother, and then my parents. But, I do have two little dogs (one is pretty crazy and the other just sleeps all day) and also a cat, who I play with almost every day. At the moment, I haven’t been doing any sports, but I used to be a dancer at Boutique Dance Academy, where I did lyrical and jazz dance. One of the talents I have is being able to do a Firebird leap (which was something I learned in dance) and also being able to hold my handstand for almost a minute. I know that we are all going to have an amazing year in NJHS!

I like to play Video Games that require skill and thinking and some that are just for fun. I do some cooking such as Cookies and Banana Bread. I play an instrument called the trumpet and love music. I play sports every now and then.

My name is Brooke, I love sports and dogs. I play soccer on a competitive team and I play hockey. I have a Labradoodle mini who is 5. My brother and my dad are big sports people so we like to workout and practice for our sports. I love doing puzzles in my free time and watching movies. We like to visit family close to us when we can and during the winter we go snowboarding at tons of different ski areas.

Alison Hinds is a hardworking teenager who spends the majority of her time with her friends, family, and animals. She enjoys riding horses, writing, playing piano, reading, drawing, baking, as well as spending time outside on her ranch with her family of 5, plus her 25 animals.

I have always been interested in biology, mainly of humans, I also have always been interested in the what doctors do. The family I see most often are my dad, stepdads, mother and my brother. I have my main hobbies, reading and playing piano. I don’t play any sports and I don’t like completion because everyone takes it to seriously and I generally feel little interest in winning. I spend a lot of my time doing school work and I am very focused on school work. I am focused on school because I want to become a radiologist and to do that I must have good grades. Hello, my name is Abbey, and I have lived in 3 places throughout my life. I have lived in Utah, Ohio, and I live in Colorado now. My family is unique because we collect something called Funko Pops. We have collected about 3,000 of them. I have 2 sisters one older and one younger and my mom and dad Sarah and Greg. Another reason we’re unique is we LOVE Disney! We go to Disney World 1-3 times a year and I’m going 2 more times this year. I have also been on 3 Disney cruises and am going to Europe. I love to travel and I love going and taking amazing photos on vacations. Baking and singing are two of my passions. I have been singing since I was 2 and I had taken a lot of piano and singing lessons throughout my life, Baking is also one of my passions because it helps me express my creativity in a delicious way. I love being able to get my stress and anxiety out through singing and baking.

I’m interested in studying ancient Egypt and Greece. I love to play volleyball, I’ve been doing it for practically two years. I live with my mom, dad, and brother. My brother is two years younger than me. I like to keep things clean, I believe I got that from my mom. Every weekend we tidy up around the house. I think one of my talents is perseverance. Hello, I'm Katherine (Katie) Husum. Here is a little bit about me. I have two younger brothers, a mom, and dad along with a dog and a very old fish. I am interested in WW2 and I find it very fascinating and all of the geographical features and history behind it. My hobbies are playing the Alto Saxophone and reading -- I really like historical books. I play Softball where I play second base and I also play basketball and I was on the A-team for the school. I have a very healthy lifestyle with lots of outdoor activities.

When Lucy is not at school, she can be found acting, singing, reading, cooking, or playing basketball. She has four siblings, one elderly dog, and three fish. My name is Riley Kuklenski. I am 13 years old and a Colorado “native,” born and raised in Castle Rock. I live with my parents, 17 year old brother, Brady and 2 border collies; Baxter and Hoosier. I attended Soaring Hawk Elementary from K-6th before coming to CRMS. My passion is competitive swimming, but in my spare time my hobbies include spending time with family and friends, skiing and traveling.

My name is Keane LaClare. One of my favorite things to do is play tennis with my three sisters and my dad. I ran cross country for CRMS in 7th grade and love to run. I also really like reading. Some of my favorite books are Maze Runner and Steel Heart. Art is another thing I enjoy doing, though I’m not very good. I usually love to draw with pastels and blend the colors together. I also love to spend time with my extended family, because there are a lot of us and they make it a lot of fun. I also like hanging out with my friends here in Castle Rock whether it be playing a game or joking with them in school.

I am the youngest in my family and have quite a few chores. I enjoy reading and writing, and for the most part I go back and forth when it comes to sport. I have done ballet, gymnastics, soccer, and horseback riding. I enjoy being with my friends and competing in any sort of way.

Hi, I’m Sienna Mandrioli. Some of my interests are music, sports and art. Specifically playing the violin, track, cross-country, volleyball, and basketball. I really enjoy these activities and I am probably going to do them all next year. I have a mom, dad, and brother and I love all of them. I really enjoy drawing beaches especially (and palm trees are my special talent). I play volleyball, track, and I want to do cross-country next year. I also play basketball but this was the first year I have tried it and I really like it. I really enjoy running and I consider it as “my sport”. One of my talents is violin. I really like violin and it helps me relieve stress and calm down. I also really like art and I love to draw. I consider math as one of my talents because I really enjoy it actually and I guess I am pretty good at it. I enjoy all of my activities that I do in school and outside of school.

My name is Gabby McCrea and I am a 13 year old girl. I live with my mom, dad, and chubby cat Lulu Bell. I play hockey for the Colorado 14ers and love to stay active, try new sports and workout every chance I get. I help coach little kids who are learning to play hockey and enjoy drawing and reading. I love to run, rollerblade and do anything that involves moving and pushing myself to be a better athlete. I am a Disney fanatic and love everything there is about Walt Disney World and Disneyland. In my spare time I love to hang out with friends and family.

I am Caroline Mello and I value many things in my life. I have many hobbies such as running, singing, acting, writing, hiking, biking, and skiing. I have done many things with my hobbies such as qualifying for nationals for Cross Country and bringing my acting to a professional level with many different auditions for acting agencies. I participate in many sports such as Cross Country, Track, and Basketball. I love trying new things and that usually results in many new opportunities. I love spending time with my family and that is why I really enjoy doing my many hobbies with them. I have my mom (Lindsay, 41), my dad (Gary, 42), and my brother (Jacoby, 10). I am really inspired by my younger brother Jacoby because he has to overcome so many challenges and he is a very honest person.

I like to draw, read, play video games, and play tennis. I like my ELA, social studies, and Spanish classes. I also like to collect rocks and miniature items. My family consists of; my mom, my step-dad, my younger sister, my two step-sisters, my two step-brothers, my dad, my step-mom, and my pets. I always try my best to help others that need it and make sure my friends are happy. I also am currently trying to save up for a hamster and am excited to meet my goal to buy one and all the supplies it needs.

My favorite subject in school is math, and it is very fun to do for me. I like running a lot, but not long distances. I like the shorter distances more. I like to play video games with my friends, and we have a lot of fun when playing them. Some of my talents are that I am very good at some of my sports. My favorite sport is football, and I have been playing it for 6 years now. I play many other sports, but football has to be my favorite. I am also very good at math, but sometimes math can get hard. Some information on my family is that I have one younger brother, a dog, cat, mom, and dad. Although my brother drives me crazy I still really love him. He is just like me, very sporty. He is also very smart. My cat and dog are both very stubborn and mischievous. I'm close with my mom but especially my dad. He inspires me and he is my best friend. Hello, My name is Jack Nannestad, I am from Colorado and I am 13 years old! One of my biggest interests is technology, not only using and looking at technology, but the physical technological part of it. For example I love computers and I like to take apart things to see what is inside, especially electronics. I have a wonderful family Including My Grandma, Jacque, My Mom Jayme, And my dad Zach. Two of my most time consuming and fun hobbies are Playing video games and playing basketball. My life is mostly normal besides the fact that I struggle with mental health so sometimes I have to try harder to maintain a happy and healthy life style. My all-time favorite sports is basketball, I love how fast paced it is and i also love that there are so many different combinations of plays. And finally some of my talents are video games and making friends.

My name is Samantha Niehus. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, playing tennis, and cooking/baking. I have one sister, named Lucy, and a dog, named Rumor. I play many sports including tennis, golf, pickleball, biking, hiking, and a lot more. I am very grateful that I got the opportunity to be a part of NJHS and I am excited to continue with this program.

My name is Brooke O’Brien, and I’m a 13 year old girl from Larkspur, Colorado. I’m originally from Connecticut, but I moved to Georgia when I was 4, and then I moved to Colorado when I was 9. I live with my mom, my dad, my twin sister, and my golden retriever, Sunny. My family frequently hikes around Colorado with our dog, and we love discovering new hiking areas throughout the state. I’ve been in the GT program in the Douglas County School District for reading and writing for several years, and I consider it as one of my greatest achievements. Some of my hobbies are drawing/painting, reading, and roller skating.

I have lived in Colorado my whole life and love all that it has to offer. I enjoy hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and playing the guitar. I play competitive soccer, I am on a swim team, and I am a frequent rock climber. I have two sisters and seven amazing pets. I also enjoy taking vacations, visiting museums, plays, concerts, and other art and culture events.

Hi! My name is Sadie Peterson. I love to dance, snowboard, color, travel, read, and hang out with my friends and family. I have been doing ballet since I was three and doing hip-hop since I was eight. I have been in The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Peter Pan, Don Quixote, and Peter Pan productions with my studio. In 2019 I went on a trip to the Florida Keys with my cousins which is my favorite trip I have been on. I have a five year old german shepherd husky mix dog named Luna. I started snowboarding in 2018 and have been doing it ever since. I would describe my lifestyle as organized but fun. I think that I like things to be done in an organized manner with a set plan, however I also like to have fun. I am excited to see what comes ahead in the school year and NJHS.

My name is Juliet Schulz, and I live with my mother and two siblings. I prefer to live with an organized and calm lifestyle. I have a keen interest in animals and their habitats. I have a fond appreciation of animals (rodents especially), that I research them for fun and even have pet guinea pigs. Along with a love for animals, I also take interest in fashion and clothing in general. I enjoy seeing my wardrobe constantly expand. I enjoy reading dystopian/futuristic books, and drawing in my sketchbook. Another hobby I enjoy is swimming, when it’s available. These are some of the interesting things about myself, and I hope to continue improving everyday and I enjoy finding new hobbies and talents.

I was born in Italy and moved to the United States when I was 6 months old. My main interests are soccer, traveling, and spending free time learning new things. I have two dogs and a sister that I am close to. My hobbies are team sports (primarily soccer and volleyball), shopping, cooking, and I like to make crafts like bracelets and necklaces for my family. I am interested in engineering and am probably going to take the stem section in high school. I have two brothers, a sister and a dog named Presley. My oldest brother's name is Tanner and is a freshman in college and is into business. My other brother Ashton is a sophomore in high school and is into theater. My sister is in sixth grade and loves to do Gymnastics. My dog is a golden retriever mix dachshund. I like to collect snow globes from everywhere I go. I love to play football and I love to golf. I have been deciding which one to play. I am really good at math (especially algebraic equations) and I am good at putting things together.

I am very interested in chemistry and physics and have been studying quantum physics from the start of the school year and have been diving deep into the study of theoretical physics because I find it extremely interesting how all of the things in the micro and macro world work. I also weld and forge and work with metal at home. I play and am good at football, basketball, field events and arm wrestling.

My name is Lillie Thomson, I live with my Mom, Dad, and two younger brothers, Knox and Lincoln. Before going to CRMS, I went to Soaring Hawk Elementary School. I have one dog named Sammy and she is almost two years old. During my free time I draw, read lots of books, listen to music, and hang out with family and friends. I love the Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Wings of Fire series. I currently do not play any sports, but help train my brothers for track and flag football. I love working with animals and hope to be a zoo keeper or artist when I grow up.

My name is Jaymee Vesque and I am 13 years old. I live with my mom, dad, and brother. I also have 2 fun dogs. I enjoy skiing, softball, and listening to music, I also really like to help out and workout. I always love to hang out with friends and family whenever I get to. I used to ski competitively for Loveland ski club but had a knee injury. I helped out the coaches with the younger skiers on the team, while also doing my best to train. One of my talents is the ability to throw a softball very far and also to ski through a harder course. One of my many hobbies is skiing because it is something very fun that I get to do. Another hobby of mine is to listen to music while practicing juggling with a soccer ball. I love to watch movies and go on family trips to Florida. I love Disney in general and love to visit.

My name is Lukas Wendell and I have two sisters, one who is in college and one who is a senior. I play the viola and really enjoy it. I run cross country and track and swim on a swim team every summer. I like books that have cliffhangers so that I will read the entire series. Over the weekend I usually like to go on bike rides with my cousin.

Hello, my name is Kyle Wheeler. First I’m kind of a unique kid because I have lots of different things about me. For example, I have ADHD and autism. In my free time, I like to play video games a lot. I’m not big on sports, but I run cross country and do track. I have two dogs, but outside of that, the only person living in my house other than me is my mom. My grandfather also lives close by. We enjoy riding on his motorcycle and volunteering at the foodbank.

Hi! My name is Layla Carpenter Wood and I am a big over achiever, I love to have good grades and make sure that I do not get in trouble. I play many sports but I am the best at soccer and alpine racing. I enjoy painting outside, going on hikes, riding on my bike and other outdoor activities. I play two instruments, the cello and the piano. I have two sisters, one older and one younger sister. I also have two dogs that are super cute and dumb at the same time. First I have my basset hound, Buford and then I have Annie my German shorthair pointer. I am so honored to be part of the NJHS community.

My name is Juliet and my interests include volleyball, spending time with friends, aerial hammocks, reading, singing and more. I live with three brothers, a dog, a cat and my parents. My hobbies include listening to music and singing whether I’m by myself or in a play. I love to play volleyball and make my friends laugh. Reading has also been a passion of mine that I love to pursue in my free time. I have high standards and expectations for myself and a bright future. I work well in groups and by myself and always love to achieve, especially when I’m passionate about the subject at hand. I have always been an athletic kid playing sports since I was 3. I’ve joined multiple different programs and training systems to grow in my ability to play volleyball. I have grown to have a very strong love and passion for volleyball and the thrill of the game. I like to think of myself as talented when it comes to learning new aerial tricks and progressively gaining a better understanding of the difficult mechanics of hard but impressive tricks.
