Mrs. Rivera

I am so excited to be your child’s 5th Grade teacher this year! This will be my fourteenth year at Northeast, and my eighth year in 5th grade.  Before coming to 5th grade, I taught 4th grade. Also, I am very familiar with the school, as I attended Northeast when I was a kid! I then went on to Sagewood Middle School and Ponderosa High School. I graduated from Hastings College in Nebraska with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. My husband, John, and I have been married for almost ten years. We have an eight year old son, Lucas (who is in 3rd grade here), and a five year old daughter, Rosie (who is in kindie at MVE). They both keep us quite busy! As a family, we love spending time outdoors, going for walk with our sheepadoodle, Lola, finding new fun adventures for Lucas and Rosie, exploring local parks and trails, cooking, spending time with family, and watching new movies.
