About me...

My name is Robin Murray, and I am a Colorado transplant. My family moved from Indiana to Colorado in 1970. I am a graduate of Evergreen High School (a long time ago). Since coming to Colorado, I have concluded that there isn't any place else I'd rather be.

I have lived in Parker for more than thirty years and I am fortunate to be a resident of The Pinery. My education includes a B.S. in business with emphasis on accounting, teaching certification through Regis University, and a Masters in Education: Curriculum and Reading Instruction. In 2000, I started teaching at Mountain View as a reading intervention teacher. In 2004, I began teaching third grade and moved to Northeast when the third grade moved from Mountain View. Since that time, I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades. I am very excited to be teaching fourth-grade this year.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Jim, and I have two daughters, both of whom attended Northeast, Sagewood, and Ponderosa. We love to travel and to explore Colorado, hiking and fishing along the way. We also have a tiny toy poodle named Grizz. (He is seriously unaware of how small he is!) I'm a lifetime learner; I enjoy spending time with friends, reading, and learning new things... and of course, sipping decaf non-fat lattes from Starbucks!

I am looking forward to learning with your child during the upcoming school year! If you have any questions, please email me at: rkmurray@dcsdk12.org
