Included below is our daily schedule! We go to specials everyday and the special we go to changes each day in a rotation between art, P.E., and music.
Note: Please send a water bottle and a healthy snack (separate from their lunch, if bringing lunch from home) with your child each day. Students also need to either wear or bring a pair of tennis shoes on days we have P.E. I recommend sending a sweatshirt with your child on art days for the room can either be really cold or really hot!

PLC Fridays
Iron Horse will have a 45-minute late start every Friday starting August 21st. We follow a late start schedule. Soft start is from 9:15 to 9:20. The tardy bell will ring at 9:20. As a class, we will follow the same schedule as usual, except there will be no morning meeting and no double specials. This late start provides equitable, dedicated time for Professional Learning Communities across the school staff.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Transportation: All school buses, including special education buses, will start 45 minutes later on Fridays. Bus routes will run exactly 45 minutes later.
Child Care: Iron Horse students will still have access to Before and After School Education (BASE) on Friday mornings.
School Breakfast: Breakfast will still be offered to students.
Preschool: There will be no impact on preschool schedules. Currently, preschool staff already use Friday mornings for planning and PLCs.
Our first PLC Friday is August 21st. Our bell will ring at 9:15 am (soft start) and 9:20 am final bell.
