Within our newsletter you can find out about any upcoming events we might be having at Flagstone Elementary or any fun activities that we do in our classroom on a weekly basis! About me!
My name is Michelle VanCanagan and I am so excited to teach First Grade this year!
I attended the University of Montana and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education in the Fall of 2022.
I am originally from Missoula, Montana and moved to Colorado a little over a year ago. For fun, I love being outdoors! I enjoy hiking, yoga, golf, and tennis. I enjoy traveling and seeing different parts of the world. Most recently, I traveled to Europe and visited Paris and London. When I am not working, I spend most of my time with my family and friends. At home, I love taking care of my plants and my cat, Tinkerbell. :)
In my classroom, I believe in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. I want to help my students think outside of the box and use critical thinking skills while also continuing to develop and identify their social and emotional behaviors.
I also love parent volunteers! I will be reaching out to parents to set up a time for you to come into the classroom. I believe in communication and encourage parents to reach out to me with any questions they might have.
