Take a look through my website to find out weekly information regarding our Kindergarten Classroom! Each Friday I will post a weekly newsletter on this website. Within our newsletter you can find out about any upcoming events we might be having at Flagstone Elementary or any fun activities that we do in our classroom on a weekly basis! I will keep parents updated with the academic focus of the week through our weekly newsletter as well.
Listed below are a few helpful links that I encourage students to use at home to continue to get more recognition and practice within their academic learning.
My name is Michelle Shipp, and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Flagstone Elementary. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Montana, graduating Cum Laude in Fall 2022. Most recently, I completed my Master’s Degree in Social and Emotional Learning from National University.
I’m originally from Missoula, Montana, and moved to Colorado in June 2022. I married my husband in July 2025, and we’ve been enjoying married life ever since. In my free time, I love being outdoors and spending time hiking, golfing, cycling, or playing tennis. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places whenever I can. At home, I love taking care of my plants and spending time with my cat, Tinkerbell.
In my classroom, I strive to create a positive, inclusive environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I encourage my students to think creatively, develop strong critical thinking skills, and build self-awareness and emotional regulation.
I also value family engagement and love welcoming parent volunteers into our classroom. I will be reaching out to set up opportunities for you to get involved. Open communication is very important to me, so I encourage parents to contact me anytime with questions or concerns.
The best way to reach me is by email at meshipp@dcsdk12.org.
