My tribe: Husband Josh and our 3 daughters Addie, Olivia and Hazel, and our son Maui the Bernedoodle. We love being outside, especially doing anything in the mountains. I do love to ski, and I used to be a ski instructor at Copper Mountain when I was in college. I am a Colorado native (Arapahoe High School Alumni), and I received my BA from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA and my MEd from Regis University in Denver.
When I am not at school, I am most likely driving to and from my kids activities or watching them play soccer, volleyball, swimming. They keep me busy but I truly love watching them do the things that they love!
Paint is my favorite medium, but clay is a close second. Photography was my area of emphasis, though that was before everything went digital and it was more chemistry. I am hoping to take some watercolor classes one day when my kids are less reliant on me for being their Uber. Below are the examples that I have done for Family Paint Night the past 5 years. I am excited to paint with the Heritage community again in February 2026!
This is my 6th year and Heritage and I am looking forward to a great year with students. I love this community of students, parents and my fellow coworkers. Heritage means so much to me. I love teaching students art because it is such an extension of themselves. Through learning about art, students learn more about who they are, and the passions they want to pursue.
