2024-25, and 2025-26 Art Leadership Teams: Art Stool Designs
This year art leadership students added designs to the art room stools. With the news that Heritage will close, it was decided that the newly painted stools could come to the new merged school in 2026. At least that is what we are hoping! The picture is of the 2024-25 team's work and a picture will be added once 2025-26 art leadership students finish their stools.
2023-24: First 3 Garden Boxes
This group of 6th graders finished these almost at the last moment of their 6th grade experience. These boxes have helped start to spur the change to help our garden look beautiful, even when it is not used to grow flowers or vegetables. The next two 6th grade classes will also continue with this project since we have 6 more boxes to go!

Pallet Wood Mini Murals 2022 and 2023
The 6th grade classes of 2022 and 2023 created mini-murals with paint stains and/or the wood burning tool on repurposed pallet wood. The planks were installed on the fence by the northeast entrance to school by Mrs. Myers and Mrs. Conrad. 2022. In the Summer of 2023 Mrs. and Mr. Myers installed the 6th grade class of 2023's mini-murals that continue allow the same fence line. (The top 2 pictures are from 2023 and the bottom two pictures are from 2022).
2021-22 Art Leadership: Finished Tile Backsplash
In addition to the pallet wood murals, 6th graders on the 2022 Art Leadership team created legacy tiles to complete the tile backsplash in the art room that 2021 6th graders started. Tiles were installed by Mrs. Conrad and Mrs. and Mr. Myers.
Ceramic Tile Backsplash 2021
The Art Room Sink Backsplash tiles were created by the 6th grade class of 2021! The materials were purchased thanks to a grant written by Mrs. Myers and awarded by Westerra Credit Union. Installation time and labor were donated by Mr. and Mrs. Conrad.
"What Lifts You?" Birds in flight 2021
Before in-person school days ended in March of 2020, 6th grade was learning about mural artist Kelsey Montague and her public art. Each student filled a bird template with designs of their choosing. When life resumed as more normal, Mrs. Conrad laminated the birds, and attached them to the tie dyed tapestry. This work is located in the main hallway above the art room windows.
2019: "Compass" through Think 360
Students created the Heritage Elementary School "Compass" logo with the help of Mrs. Conrad and working artist, Lisa Cameron Russell, from the program "Think 360." Each 6th grader painted a place that they wanted to explore in the future. This piece is located in the main hallway, near the Green Schools Flag.
Mrs. Conrad had each 6th grader leave their mark on Heritage with their signature to accompany their handprint.

2014: Art Fence
Each 6th grader did a portrait on their plank. This fence was located on the southwest side of Heritage. Sadly over the summer of 2023 it was destroyed in the Highlands Ranch tornado. The school planned on saving and reinstalling it but sadly the contracted clean up crew did not get that message and they tossed it. Luckily a picture was taken before the tornado to document the art.
