Homework
spelling- Spelling words will be given at the start of the week for students to study for a posttest at the end of the week. words will be written in their agendas/planners.
math test review-a packet will be sent home at the start of a new math unit. There will be a page for each day of the unit to help reinforce what was learned in class that day. it is not madatory for students to complete but highly encouraged. if students choose to do it they may bring it to class the day of the test.
test study guides- two nights before a math test students will bring home a study guide that they completed in class to help studt for the test.
math corrections-if students score below 80% on their math tests they need to take the test home and correct their errors and bring back to class(with help if they want it)
math facts-statting late fall students will need to get a set of multplication flash cards and practice at home.
Snacks
our snack time will be in the morning after specials and in the afternoon at pretime. Please make sure you are sending your child in with one or two nutrious snacks daily. Please no cookies, cupcakes etc. We are also a nut free classroom. please make sure your child has a water bottle as well everyday. if possible smaller sizes are preferred as opposed to large as many of them tend to roll off the desk and spill. it is also easier when they are smaller to fit on the desk.
Thursday folders
Thursday folders will come home thursday evening. Please sign and have your student return the next day.
