Clever and tech questions:
What is Clever? It is one app that holds all of your other apps and saves your passwords on most of them (not all). Your child is trained on how to navigate between the apps using Clever. Please try to use it at home.
How do I log into Clever on a computer? Click here for directions.
How do I log into Clever on a tablet? 1. Download the Clever App from the App Store. 2. Scan QR code that is in your child's red folder.
Login codes: ***If you have a device with a camera, you can use "Clever" for all apps below. Most of the apps we use have your child logged in already. (See directions above) If it is not working, here are some classroom codes
Classroom Questions:
Please notify both the school attendance office directly and me if your child will be absent for an extended period of time.
A message through Bloomz lets me know your child will be gone, but it does not excuse the absence with the school.

Students will have two snack times each day (one snack on Fridays due to our late-start schedule).
Please send a healthy snack to help keep your child energized and ready to learn. Some great options include fresh fruit, applesauce, cheese sticks, yogurt, crackers, pretzels, Goldfish, popcorn, nut-free granola bars, veggies, dry cereal, beef sticks, or raisins.
Students should also bring a water bottle with a secure, sealable lid each day.
To help keep our classroom safe and focused, please do not send peanuts or peanut products, candy, soda, caffeinated beverages, or drinks without secure lids.
Bloomz is our primary form of communication. Please register if you haven't already!
I'll use Bloomz to share weekly updates, classroom celebrations, reminders, and important announcements. Families are always welcome to send me a private message through the app.
Please send me an email if you need an invitation to register for our classroom: abisbee@dcsdk12.org
We love celebrating birthdays in our classroom!
Families are welcome to send a special treat if they wish. Please send me a message on Bloomz ahead of time so we can choose a day that works well for everyone.
If sending a food treat, please make sure it is peanut-free, store-bought, easy to pass out - no sheet cakes please. Every student will also receive a special birthday surprise from me as well!
To help everyone feel included, birthday invitations may only be distributed at school if the entire class is invited. Otherwise, please share invitations outside of school hours.
Summer birthdays will be celebrated during the first week of school. (No treats needed—I will provide a treat for the class!)
Absolutely!
I believe strong communication between home and school is one of the best ways to help students succeed. Throughout the year, I'll reach out to celebrate your child's successes, share areas for growth, and keep you informed about what's happening in our classroom.
As part of our schoolwide behavior system, students may occasionally call home after visiting a buddy classroom because they were struggling to regulate themselves. This is not meant as a punishment. Instead, it's an opportunity for students to take ownership of their choices, strengthen the connection between school and home, and practice problem-solving and resilience.
Each Thursday, students will bring home their Thursday Folder containing graded work, classroom information, and school flyers. Some weeks will have a LOT and others may have a little.
Please take a few minutes each week to review the folder together, celebrate your child's hard work, and return any requested forms.
A few simple routines can make a big difference!
Read at home regularly.
Help your child get a good night's sleep.
Send a healthy snack and water bottle each day.
Stay connected through Bloomz.
Encourage your child to try their best, ask questions, embrace failure and show kindness every day.
I'm looking forward to partnering with you to make this an amazing year of learning, growth, and fun!
