About Mrs. Anderson

Hello 4th Grade Families,

Hello 4th Grade Families,

I am so excited to be your 4th grade teacher this year. Last year was my first year at Mammoth and I was blown away by the kindness and support from the parents and community, and the expertise of the MHE staff. I look forward to having another great year.

Although I was born in Wyoming, and lived in Arizona for a few years, I have lived in Colorado most my life. I graduated with my teaching degree from University of Northern Colorado and got my master’s in Curriculum Instruction from Arizona State University. In my 17 years of teaching, I have taught 2nd through 7th grade, but most of my experience is in 4th and I’m so happy to be returning to my FAVORITE grade.

I live here in Parker with my husband, Kris and three dogs, Connie, Winston and Bruce! I love being outdoors, especially in the warm weather. Paddleboarding, hiking, golf and running are some of my favorite hobbies. I also love to travel and spend time with family and friends.

I am passionate about using hands-on activities to make learning as fun and engaging as possible. We will learn about many topics this year through integrated units and exploration. In our classroom you will find a makerspace with many robotics and building materials, lots of art supplies, a classroom library, unique seating options and even a small tent!

I really look forward to meeting each of you! Feel free to reach out with any questions by emailing me at llanderson3@dcsdk12.org.
