ALL About Me
I am originally from Oklahoma. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I moved to Colorado in 2014. I have two amazing daughters. Ashlynn is turning 16 this year (and driving a car...yikes)! Makenzie is turning 14 this year. They both attend Heritage High School in Littleton.
I have two sweet rescue dogs. Mila is a 6 year old Husky/Shepherd mix and Fineous is a two year old Pointer/Terrier mix.Â
I received my 200 hour RYT certificate in 2018. When I'm not teaching first-graders, I am a part-time hot yoga instructor.
In my free time I enjoy reading mystery/thriller novels, practicing yoga, traveling and cooking. I enjoy coffee/tea and all the sweets.
Educational Experience
This will be my 15th year teaching. I have taught in grades 1-6 over the course of my career. My favorite subject to teach is literacy. I love doing read-alouds with my students and seeing them get excited about reading. My favorite part of teaching first grade is seeing the growth the students make from the beginning of the year to the end. I am honored to get to partner with you in your child's education this year.
