ALL About Me
I am originally from Oklahoma. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I am currently working to obtain a Master's in Literacy through American College of Education. I moved to Colorado in 2014. I have two amazing daughters. Ashlynn is 17 and Makenzie is 15. They both attend Heritage High School in Littleton.
I have two sweet rescue dogs. Mila is a 7 year old Husky/Shepherd mix and Fin is a 3 year old Pointer/Terrier mix.Â
I received my 200 hour RYT certificate in 2018. When I'm not teaching first-graders, I am a part-time hot yoga instructor.
In my free time I enjoy reading mystery/thriller novels, practicing yoga, traveling and cooking. I enjoy coffee/tea and all the sweets.
Educational Experience
This will be my 16th year teaching. I have taught in grades 1-6 over the course of my career. My favorite subject to teach is literacy. I love doing read-alouds with my students and seeing them get excited about reading. My favorite part of teaching first grade is seeing the growth the students make from the beginning of the year to the end. I am honored to get to partner with you in your child's education this year.
