Behavior
Our classroom runs on the motto, "Go for the Gold". Students learn and are expected to...
Give Respect
Own their Actions
Listen & Learn
Do Their Best
In addition to this school motto, we will have a whole class incentive cookie jar to fill multiple times throughout the year and our class will celebrate upon filling the cookie jar.
Planners and Homework Folders
Each student is provided a personal planner at the start of the school year. Every afternoon, we will record important reminders and daily homework assignments in our planners.
It's the student's responsibility to bring back the planner and homework folder each day.
Snacks and Water Bottles
Each day we will have a mid-morning snack. Please make sure your child eats a filling breakfast (whether at home or in the cafeteria upon arrival) to help fuel their morning ahead of snack time.
It is also equally important that your student pack a water bottle and snack each day. A healthy snack is always BEST!
School Supplies
All grade-level school supply lists can be accessed on the Gold Rush Website under the "Parent Resources" tab. For your convenience, you can also access the 4th grade supply list HERE.
No need for labeling supplies ahead of time. All students will be provided personalized labels from me containing their complete name, teacher name, and grade level.
When possible, please adhere to the colors and other specifications indicated for certain items on the list. Thank you!
Birthdays
We love celebrating birthdays in our classroom!
Please email me with at least 2 to 3 days advance notice. (This allows me to plan ahead and notify you of any possible class number changes.) We will enjoy treats at an appropriate time during their special day!
Guidelines for Birthday Treats:
25 nut-free treats (this # is based on the start of year ONLY)
Store-bought (no homemade items)
Individually wrapped -or- easy to hand out (no sheet cakes 🤪)
Summer Birthday?:
You have TWO options...
) Bring in treats on their half-birthday* (or)
) Bring in treats towards the end of the year*
*I especially ask for a heads-up with these unique and unexpected additions to our classroom calendar.
