Due to construction at Iron Horse this summer, BASE will not take new families for this summer. If your child will attend Iron Horse the 2026-2027 school year, please send an email to Robin (rdroberts1@dcsdk12.org) or Alex (ataft@dcsdk12.org) for more information on BASE registration.
B.A.S.E. uses an online parent portal to enroll students in our program.
This portal is called "School Care Works." This is different from the "Infinite Campus" parent portal that you use for the school.
$75 registration fee for single child family and $100 fee for multiple child family.
Enrollment can take up to 48 hours to be approved, not including weekends, so please plan ahead!
Once enrollment is approved, you may then access your parent portal and reserve child care sessions. The cost for each session can be found to the right by clicking the "tuition/fees" link.
At this point the drop-in option is not available. You have until 12:00am the night before, to register your child for a session.
Our attendance/accounts are set up for families to reserve and pay for sessions by the Wednesday prior to the week they need care. Families have until midnight the night before a needed session to register their child.
If a session is grey and you are unable to click on that session, then that means the session is full.
Our sessions are first-pay basis for attendance. Children who show up at BASE without being registered for that session will not be allowed to be signed in and if it is after school then the child will be taken to the school office for the parent to pick up. The school office closes at 4:00.
We do not offer refunds, credits, or switching of days.
Incoming Kindergarteners will be able to register with our BASE program however they will not be allowed to attend the program until they reach 5 years of age and the school year has begun for them. (ie. an incoming Kindie can not attend BASE during the Summer before their first year of school)
