HRHS Summer School offers credit recovery opportunities for high school students. Students complete their courses online with the assistance of Highlands Ranch High School teachers. Teachers will monitor student progress, have 2 hours of dedicated office hours per week for any questions students may have.
The 2025 HRHS Summer School Session #1 will take place May 28 - June 26. IN-PERSON CLASSES (CREDIT REPLACEMENT) Will be offered 1st session ONLY if there is enough enrollement. We have partnered with Rock Canyon HS and will advised if classes will be at HRHS or RCHS.
Session #2 will take place July 1 - July 22. This is only Credit Recovery classes and will be online through the Edgenuity platform. Students may work at home anytime, but teachers will be available for assistance and email response from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Thursday with dedicated office hours.
Enrolled students will receive access to their online course(s) by: Session #1 May 28/Session #2 July 1st.
Session #1 coursework must be completed by June 26 at 3:00 p.m. Session #2 coursework must be completed by July 22 at 3:00 p.m. Any work submitted after this deadline will not be accepted and may result in students not earning credit and a failing grade. Students who do not finish their class in session 1 may sign up for session #2 to complete their class. They will not be able to register for another class in session #2 until they complete their Session #1 coursework.
Course fees:
Session #1 Cost is $300 per course. Cost is $325 for out of District students.
Session #2 Cost is $300 per course. Cost is $325 for out of District students.
We STRONGLY recommend signing up for only the classes you feel your student can handle. Once enrolled, courses will appear on the student's transcript. If a student does not complete a credit recovery course with a 60% or above, another F is added to the transcript. The final grade for summer school courses are posted to the transcript--even if a student receives the same or a lower grade than the original grade. Students will not be unenrolled due to not finishing a class. Once 1 class is successfully completed you may register for more, if enough time allows a student to finish.
