District-Wide Literacy Week
The DCSD District Library Media Center is hosting its 6th annual ONE BOOK ONE DISTRICT to celebrate literacy and community, encouraging everyone to read and be inspired by the beautiful book Just In Case: Saving Seeds In The Svalbard Global Vault by Megan Clendenan.

Beginning November 2, DCSD will launch a week-long literacy celebration designed to unify our district through a shared reading experience. Students from all grade levels—elementary, middle, and high school—will read the same featured book and connect via a virtual author visit. Students will engage in writing poetry, creating inspiring art, and participating in various lessons and activities to encourage a culture of literacy.
