HEART WORDS

We refer to these words as Heart Words.  The words we need to be able to read, write and spell this year in kindergarten!  Practice them at home too!  Click on each word to hear a little jingle and help teach you the word by heart!  Have fun!

Ways to practice at home:

*Write the words in sidewalk chalk, shaving cream, salt, bathtub crayons, finger paint, a special pen or other things that make it new and exciting.

*Make the words with things like fruit loops, m&m’s, skittles, abc cookies, magnetic letters or other similar ideas. 

*Find the words in books, on signs, in the grocery store or around the house.  Send pics of some of the ways your child finds to practice at home.  

*Make or write simple sentences using the words too.  Have fun!
