I am humbled and honored to be the 2022-2023 Apple Award Recipient for Eagle Ridge!
Hi, I’m Allison DeWolf! I’ve been teaching kindergarten and first grade for 33 wonderful years. My journey began in the tiny town of Rocky Ford, Colorado, where I grew up on a cantaloupe farm. Some of my favorite memories come from that close-knit community where neighbors felt like family.
After high school, I attended Colorado State University and began my teaching career in 1993. In 2000, I earned my master’s degree in education with a focus on literacy development. Teaching young children how to learn and grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
I’ve been married for 31 years and have two amazing kids. My son, Jack, moved back to Denver about a year ago and started a software company called RestoreAI which is a case management and mobile platform for victim advocates and the communities they serve. My daughter, Abby, recently graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in psychology. She was a cheerleader all four years in college and won national D1 titles in her freshman and senior years. She currently lives in Nashville and is considering going to graduate school.
In my free time, I love going on adventures with my husband, especially cheering on our CSU Rams at football and basketball games. We also enjoy traveling to visit our kids whenever we can. Being both a teacher and a mom has given me a unique perspective that I bring to the classroom every day. I truly love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to be part of the lives of so many wonderful children and families.
