Hello, there! I'm so glad you're here!

I am thrilled to be teaching your child this year. Kindergarten is just the beginning of your child's learning adventure.  I look forward to working with you and your little one - it is truly a privilege to be a kindergarten teacher & teach our youngest learners!  

The 2024-25 school year is my third at Sage Canyon as a kindergarten teacher.  I've previously taught second and third grades, which I completely enjoyed; however, kindergarten has my heart!  I grew up a few hours south of Castle Rock in Pueblo.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English and Elementary Education from CSU-Pueblo,  and my Masters of Science Degree in Elementary Education - Curriculum and Instruction, Reading emphasis, from the University of Kansas.  My husband Kurt and I live in Parker with our 3 children: Cole, a baseball player and junior at CSU-Pueblo, Ella, a freshman at CU-Boulder, and Jack, a 5th grader here at Sage.  However, our goldendoodle, Maisy, is the true princess of our home. 🙂

I love to travel and explore new places with my family. In the summer, we visit a lot of ballparks for games - either watching my sons play or catching the pros. I like to seek out the fun roadside attractions (like the World's Largest Ketchup Bottle), and my family humors me. I enjoy reading lots of books (mysteries are my favorite), gardening, and love all things Disney (we visit the parks often).  I've recently taken up running (slowly!) and love being outside taking in the beauty of our state.  

I can't wait to share my favorites our class, and learn all about all of theirs! I'm so excited to be part of your child's educational journey!
