National History Bee- Students will be divided into 8th Grade, 7th Grade, 6th Grade, and 5th Grade and Younger.
National Science Bee- The National Science Bee is a science-themed, buzzer-based academic quiz competition for individual students in Elementary School, Middle School and High School. Consisting of both qualifying stages and a National Championships, competing students have a chance to put their science knowledge to use against other students in their respective age divisions in an engaging quiz tournament setting.
International Geography Bee- The International Geography Bee’s Middle & Elementary School Division will comprise four stages during the 2022-2023 academic year. The first stage is offered free of charge; registration fees on a per student basis are charged for students who attend the Regional Finals and National Championships.
US Geography Championships- For 2022-2023, there is no Regional stage for the Middle and Elementary School Divisions of the US Geography Championships. To qualify for Nationals in the USGC, all a student needs to do is pass the Online Regional Qualifying Exam in Geography. The ORQE is a 50 question multiple choice exam that is free to take. Students receive 2 points for a correct answer, zero points for an answer left blank or an incorrect answer (there are no negative points for incorrect answers for the 2022-2023 academic year on the Middle or Elementary School ORQE). Students have 20 minutes to take the Exam.

K-12 students worldwide are invited to give engineering a try with the annual Engineering Challenge from Science Buddies. Announced every January, the Science Buddies Engineering Challenge lets students use their problem-solving skills to design, build, and test contraptions. The challenges use simple materials and are free for all to participate. Try this year's challenge, and you may win a cash prize for your school or nonprofit!
Can you make a device out of paper, string, tape, and paper clips to pick up a ping pong ball and return it to a start line? What is the greatest distance over which your device can work? Students across the globe are invited to try this challenge and submit their results by March 19, 2023, to be entered (where eligible) in random drawings for $10,000 in prizes. Polyphony Lit is a student-run international literary magazine for high school writers and editors. Submissions of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction are accepted through May 31 of each year and are eligible for the Claudia Ann Seaman Awards for Young Writers. We invite high school students to join our student editorial board, which provides editorial feedback for every submission.
This year's Student Podcast Challenge will open for entries on Jan. 6, 2023 and close on April 28. As in past years, our judges will choose winners in two categories: grades five through eight and grades nine through 12. Entries must be submitted by an educator or a student leader who's 18 years old or older. Students can create a podcast about any topic they wish to explore. Your podcast can also be in many different formats: an interview, narrative story or even investigative reporting. You can do it by yourself or with your entire class. The maximum length of your podcast is eight minutes, and longer entries will be disqualified. After years of listening to student podcasts, we've learned that shorter is better.

This year's Student Podcast Challenge will open for entries on Jan. 6, 2023 and close on April 28. As in past years, our judges will choose winners in two categories: grades five through eight and grades nine through 12. Entries must be submitted by an educator or a student leader who's 18 years old or older. Students can create a podcast about any topic they wish to explore. Your podcast can also be in many different formats: an interview, narrative story or even investigative reporting. You can do it by yourself or with your entire class. The maximum length of your podcast is eight minutes, and longer entries will be disqualified. After years of listening to student podcasts, we've learned that shorter is better.

Hutch: A Creative Magazine by Kids for Kids
We consider work submitted by children in grades one through eight, and are happy to collaborate with elementary and middle school teachers as well as parents across the globe. We encourage all students to produce art and writing that imparts positive values and promotes self-esteem.

Stone Soup a bimonthly print magazine of poetry, fiction, essays, and artwork as well as a blog that includes book reviews, a poetry podcast, travelogues, and responses to current events—all by kids under 14.

Polyphony Lit is a student-run international literary magazine for high school writers and editors. Submissions of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction are accepted through May 31 of each year and are eligible for the Claudia Ann Seaman Awards for Young Writers. We invite high school students to join our student editorial board, which provides editorial feedback for every submission.
K-12 students worldwide are invited to give engineering a try with the annual Engineering Challenge from Science Buddies. Announced every January, the Science Buddies Engineering Challenge lets students use their problem-solving skills to design, build, and test contraptions.
