SUMMER SHIRT INFORMATION

The DCSD BASE department worked hard to create some BASE shirts for our summer!
We will be using these new shirts for our program any time we leave on a field trip, so please get your orders in as soon as you can! These will be shirts that students can take home, so please remember to send your students in their BASE shirt for all field trips!
Shirts are $11.00 and can be shipped either right to you or to our program.
I am requesting that students that are participating in full day BASE purchase a shirt. Especially if your student is attending over the summer.
I will be creating a new BASE shirt to reflect our new school that will be available for purchase hopefully by July! More details to come.

No. incoming kindergarteners for the 26-27 school year can begin BASE on their first day of full day kindergarten! We do not accept incoming kindergarteners into our summer base program. sorry for any inconvience this may cause.
Our BASE fiscal year resets on July 1st- meaning the BASE 25-26 school year will begin on July 1st. If you are planning on having your student attend BASE in the 26-27 school year, please visit our Registration tab and select the link that meets your needs. Registration for the 26-27 school year is no longer free, and will be $75.00 for 1 student households and $100.00 for multi-student households. Once your student is registered for the new school year, this will cover your student(s) from July 1, 2026- June 30th 2027.
Nutrition Services will be providing Breakfast and Lunches for all students that are signed up for BASE sessions this summer. On days that we take field trips, if meals are not included, Nutrition Services will provide to-go bags for kids to bring with us on trips.
We will still have vendors onsite for special lunches/treats this summer, but you will not need to pack a lunch for your student if you have signed up for the session.
Pick up and drop off will all be located in the schools cafeteria. Please make sure you are escorting your student to and from the program, as we are the only ones inside the building at these times.
It is important that you have your parent pin number with you, as you will need to enter that information in on our Ipad. If you have forgotten your pin number, you can locate it at our parent sign in/out table in the RED folder for AGE and the BLUE Folder for FCE.
If staff does not know you, you will be asked to show ID before your student will be released to ensure we are keeping your student as safe as possible. Thank you for helping us keep your students safe.
BASE will be taking as many field trips and offsite adventures as possible for our final summer together. We plan to be offsite 2-3 times a week minimum.
On days that we have Charter buses, we will not be able to take as many kids. I will make sure to let you know if we have less space.
Yes! Any time we leave Acres Green for a field trip, You will be sent the virtual waivers needed for your student to participate. If you do not have a printer at home, paper copies of these forms can be given to your student to bring home.
All waivers and needed permissions will be sent via email the week prior to the event.
Prices will vary based on what the activity for the day is. If there is a field trip, Parents will be charged an additional $7.00 for the bus, and an activity fee for our entry (if applicable). If there is not a special activity happening at BASE, the flat rate for Summer will be $35.00.
Anytime we run into complications or changes in schedule, the BASE manager will send you a message via SCW letting you know what is happening and when the ETA will be.
Our drop off window will be determined by what the activity is for the day. If we have a field trip, please bring your student at least 30 min to an hour before our departure time. We will need time to go over our trip rules, and distribute field trip shirts before we leave the school.
There will be 5 things that will be needed every day at BASE. Those are:
A Refillable water bottle with their name labeled on it.
Sunscreen with their name labeled on it
Good shoes for running/ walking
3-4 snacks for the day
(optional) electronic for tech time
An itinerary of our summer schedule will be sent out to families with all special activities and things that will be needed outside of these 5 things.
Unfortunately, we do not have extra staff to stay at the school when students do not want to participate in the activity. If your student is with us for the day, they will have to accompany us to wherever we are going that day. We will not have other options for your student to do alternatively.
