Biography
Hello! I'm Ms. Coco Bowers. About eight years ago, I relocated to the Denver, Colorado area from Charlottesville, Virginia to be closer to family. I graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester, NY with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Spanish. I earned a Master’s degree in Education from Alfred University, NY.
In Virginia, I taught in the classroom for six years and was a Title I Reading Specialist for nine years, where approximately twenty-five percent of our student population spoke English as a second language. For the past six years, I taught English Language Development (ELD) to multilingual students in Douglas County School District.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, traveling, spending time with my young nieces, walking my dog, and going to local festivals.
This is my third year at Cresthill Middle School. I’m honored and excited to continue my journey of helping multilingual students and their families. I can't wait to develop great partnerships for the continued success of all students. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you!
