Due Dates for Assignments! 

This is a big one! 

Students are assigned work in Edmentum. It is a "work at your own pace" platform giving students time to work ahead or catch up. However, each assignment has a due date. See each individual course in Edmentum to view the due dates.

I place 0% in the Edmentum grade book once assignments go past the assigned due date. 

Students can make up any missed mastery tests until the end of the grading period.

 I do not allow students to make up missed post-tests without a valid school excuse provided to the virtual administrator and copies of their Edmentum notes.

Communication!

 This is the biggest and sometimes most overlooked. 

Students are required to communicate with their virtual teachers. 

With the face-to-face component removed, it is difficult to know what hurdles each student may be facing on a daily basis. 

It is important that students know when to ask for help! Students should let teachers know if there are any

• academic concerns with lessons (needing help with work)

• sickness concerns (causing students to be away from the computer for long periods of time)

• other factors that would hinder learning from taking place for your student

Students and parents can check grades at all times using the Menu at the top of the student's Edmentum home page.
