A product of Decatur City Schools, a graduate of Austin High School.  She is married to Rance Sutherlin and has two daughters Summer and Elicia. She also has a fur-baby named, Leo.  Leo is a black and white Goldendoodle who is full of energy!! Kendria has been with Decatur City Schools since 2007. She taught seventh-grade math at Brookhaven Middle, sixth and seventh-grade math at Cedar Ridge, and was a virtual math teacher for Career Academy. Recently, she obtained her Masters in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama.  Kendria has been a school counselor at Austin Middle School since 2019.

Kendria’s spare time is spent taking family trips, watching her oldest play run track for Austin High and Parker Track Club, and watching her youngest play soccer.  She also loves cooking for her family, taking long naps, watching HGTV, Food Network, and a good series on Netflix.
