Reflection Activities
If your feeling was a character on Inside Out, What would it look like? What would it act like? What would it sound like? What is it trying to tell you?
Spend 5 minutes creating your character and then think about ways you can comfort that character through calming down strategies.
Write a letter about how you are feeling. You can address to yourself or to the feeling itself.
Some prompt ideas:
What would you like your feeling to know?
How does the feeling feel like in your body?
Write a thank you letter to someone important to you.
Sometimes taking a Think Break can be helpful to calming down. As always, ask your teacher or parent/guardian if it is okay to take a quick break. On your break, breathe in the fresh air through some deep breaths. Next, point out 3 things that you see (or want to see) outside that bring you joy.
