Ch. 2- Path of the Echo Collective

Story Outline

1. Exposition:

• How are the citizens of the Drymarsh reacting to the news that the Steel Veil is approaching? Introduce the threat of the Steel Veil setting up camp near the Crossroads. Create a sense of fear and panic in the general population. 

2. Rising Action:

• What challenges and risks does the Echo Collective face in their attempt to negotiate with the Steel Veil? Explore the difficulties the Collective faces, including the fear that the Steel Veil might not be open to diplomacy. 

3. Climax:

• What happens when the Echo Collective’s envoy meets with the leaders of the Steel Veil? Build up to a tense moment when the diplomatic envoy meets the Steel Veil’s leaders. Describe how the Collective was able to negotiate a peace treaty.

4. Resolution:

• How do the citizens respond to the results of the diplomatic mission when they return? Conclude the story by showing the aftermath of the diplomatic mission. Describe the gratitude the people feel for not having to fight a war with the Steel Veil. And perhaps, the frustration as well.
