DRAWING CATEGORY: Artwork created entirely by hand (pencil, marker, crayon, or stylus on a digital drawing tablet). No photo manipulation allowed.
DIGITAL CATEGORY: Artwork that incorporates and manipulates pre-existing images (clipart, photos, Canva elements, etc.) to create a new piece. Photo editing and collage techniques are permitted and expected. Simple copy-and-paste clip art is not acceptable.
GRADE/CATEGORY REQUIREMENTS
All artwork must be original and created specifically for this contest.
No cartoon, video game, movie, or theme characters.
No copyrighted images, logos, or text.
Artwork created using artificial intelligence (AI) tools is not allowed.
All submitted posters become the property of AATSP and may be used in publications and promotions.
Entries will be judged based on:
Originality and creativity
Visual impact and clarity of message
Connection to the contest theme
Artistic technique appropriate to the student’s age level
The sponsoring teacher must be a current AATSP member.
Entries must follow the correct file format and submission process (see Submission tab).
Failure to follow size, theme, or originality requirements may result in disqualification.
