While I was getting my Masters degree at MTSU, I was the library assistant and taught the computer lab classes at SBES for 2 years.  Before taking the position at SBES, I was a substitute teacher for 2 years.

I originally graduated from Belmont College (before it became Belmont University) with a degree in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration.  I took the courses required and passed the state test to teach math on the secondary level.  However, life happened and I never took a teaching job in a school system.

My previous work experiences range from Montgomery Bell State Park, to administrative assistant in the Mechanical Engineering department at TTU, to administrative assistant to a subcontractor on Redstone Arsenal, to computer software trainer and computer salesman.

I tell the students that I finally know what I want to be when I grow up-a librarian!  It took me a while to get here, but I love being a librarian and love helping to foster the love of reading and the love of learning.

More importantly, I am a wife and mother.  My husband and I have been married for over 30 years.  We both grew up in Dickson County and met in Algebra II class!  My oldest child is my daughter Catlin and my youngest child is Bo.  Our family loves music, reading, and Marvel.
