Animals are endangered because of poaching, deforestation, habitat loss, climate change and illegal trading. People in places like Spain and Africa, kill animals for sports and fun.

People hurt animals for things like ivory and fur trade (illegal trading) agriculture and money. Things like ivory from elephant's tusks can be sold for lots of money. Farmers kill wild animals like foxes to protect their chickens or other livestock from death. Fur is something that can be made into things like clothes and bags. People kill crocodiles and snakes just for things like shoes and bags.

The Javan Rhino is one of the most endangered animals in the world because of the high demand for its horns. The Javan Rhino's habitat is also being destroyed for things like cities and farms. 

The Amur Leopard is also on the verge of becoming extinct. The Amur Leopard is endangered because of habitat loss. Its habitat is being destroyed for things like factories, cities and farms.

The WWF helps endangered animals to make sure that none of them are going extinct. WWF stands for World Wide Fund for Nature. The WWF saves and protects animals from things like illegal trading and being killed. They protect animals because they realise that without animals, the world will cease to exist.
