Students will write their homework for each night in their planner before they leave school.
Parents must initial in their student's planner each night once they have verified that all homework is complete.
Homework is due the morning after it is assigned (unless otherwise stated by teacher).
Homework from all subjects should not take more than 50 minutes per night (plus independent reading time) if time is used wisely in class.

Students will compose a 3 paragraph essay on a topic of their choice around the Renaissance Era. This will run in conjunction with their history display project. Students must answer these 5 questions in their essay, who is the essay about (if they located a place, they may include who was affected), what, when, where and why this is important. Students must complete a rough draft and final draft. Final draft is in cursive. The final project is due on Thursday December 21st. This does not have to follow IEW checklist guidelines.
History:
Students will complete a final project on a topic of their choice on the Renaissance. The final project is split into two catagories:
Essay will count as a final composition grade- 3 paragraphs on your topic, students may use the textbook or other source material to gather their research.
The project display must include: A poster board display with a clear title, key vocabulary, pictures and be a visual aid for the essay, including key elements of the students essay- The display and presentation piece will count as their final history grade for the semester.
